Home of Grace Golf Classic

If you haven't sent in your registration for the Golf Tournament - time is short. Fast approaching the Deadline of August 14th, the Home of Graace Golf Classic is filling up. "We still have openings," said Joe Bayless, Tournament Coordinator, "but you'd better reserve quick." The Home of Grace Golf Classic is held each Fall and offers a chance for the Home to thank its supporters.

Men's Brotherhood Breakfast

The Home of Grace, Men's Facility will be hosting a Men's Brotherhood Breakfast for the Community. On August 12th, men from across Jackson County are invited to this event. Speaking that day will be Dr. Don Boone, Pastor of Vancleave First Baptist. Breakfast will be served promptly at 7am and we will dismissed by 8am - just in time for everyone to make early church services. This goes out to all the alumni. Get it in your head, Do you realize what Christ has done for us. He has set us up in Heaven. Remember what he said in the Bible, "I go to prepare a place for you , and if I go prepare a place for you,that means I'm comming back for you." Lets put a smile on our face. All these little trials that we go through, count it all joy Paul says. Rejoice always and again I say rejoice. Tribute to a friend...

At the July Alumni Night, I was privileged to introduce Rusty. I watched as the men listened intently as he gave his testimony about his life in drugs and his deliverance at the Home. Then I saw their amazment as he began to tear up and say that he would be leaving tomorrow to check himself into a Federal Prison to serve 10 years.

We all began to cry as he laid out God's sovereign plan for his life and although God might have delivered Rusty from the consequences of past actions, Rusty explained, "That is God's choice, not mine. I obviously have someone I'm supposed to talk to. Just pray that I will have the courage to stand."

Rusty, thank you for showing us that sometimes being a man and doing the right thing hurts. Thank you for showing us a real man. We will miss you dearly. We are very proud of you.

After several months of regrouping after my stay at the HOG.. I also am making a move -- from the sunny shores of Cortez Florida, to the Cumberland plateau in Tennesee.. I will be a part of the Sports & Cultural Exchange International program.. I WILL BE TAKING SPORTS AND MUSIC MINISTRY TEAMS TO LATIN AMERICA TO SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST!!!!(http://sceionline.org)
