In our brief time on this earth we are faced with challenges that can only be confronted with someone at your side. And though often we feel overwhelmed, isn’t it incredible how God places just the right person in your life to make those unbearable moments bearable.
And although I know of the sufficiency of Christ, I also know that certain friends become our Jesus with skin. They become that ear when no one else wants to listen and the encouragement when the depression has become too great. I believe we find only a few of these in our lifetime. And I am blessed because I have had just such a friend.
We are saddened when remembering this not because of some vast tragedy, for he is now in a far better place, but rather we are saddened because we have realized that a good man has left our midst.
